Linda K. Clarkson, 70, of Seymour, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017, in Columbus, with her husband by her side.

Born Dec. 15, 1946, in Bunny, Arkansas, she was the daughter of Coy Busby, who preceded her in death, and Barbara Smith Busby, who survives. On July 1, 1983, at Bethel Baptist Church in Columbus, she married Roy Clarkson.

Linda graduated from Caraway High School in Caraway, Arkansas. She retired after 17 years with Cosco in Columbus. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Freetown.

Besides her mother and husband, she is survived by her children, Christina McCarty, Debra Newhouse, Scott McCarty and Darrell Clarkson; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Albert Busby; two sisters, Sue Hill and Carolyn Busby; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at Voss Chapel in Seymour.

A service will be conducted at a later date at Carter Funeral Home in West Plains, Missouri.

Burial will be at Fore Cemetery in Bakersfield, Missouri.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church in Freetown.
