Weather forces changes to high school sporting events

Because of forecasted winter weather this weekend, some changes have been made to high school sporting events involving Jackson County schools.

The Seymour-Jennings County girls and boys basketball doubleheader scheduled for today will now start at 5:30 p.m.

The Trinity Lutheran-Shawe Memorial boys basketball game scheduled for today in Seymour will now start the junior varsity at 5 p.m. with the varsity to follow.

The Bloomington Lighthouse-Medora boys basketball game scheduled for today has been moved to Feb. 10. It will be a varsity-only game.

The Bloomington Lighthouse/Medora girls basketball game has been cancelled for tonight. There won’t be a makeup contest.

The Hoosier Hills Conference girls swimming and diving and wrestling tournaments scheduled for Saturday have been rescheduled to Jan. 21. That day, wrestling will start at 9 a.m. at Jennings County, and swimming and diving will start at 1 p.m. at Bedford.

The Brownstown Central girls basketball game scheduled for Saturday against Jennings County has been moved to Jan. 23.

Trinity Lutheran’s girls basketball game scheduled for tomorrow at South Decatur has been moved to Jan. 24.
