Owls second in 4-way competition

Franklin Central edged Seymour 99.600-98.775 to win a four-way meet with Brebuf (31.075) and Scecina (87.075) on Thursday.

Seymour’s Kellsye Warner took first on the bars with a score of 8.600 and was second in the vault (8.450) and beam (9.200).

Avery DeHart scored 8.950 for second on the floor.

Warner’s all-around score of 35.125 earned second on the night.

The girls added in several new skills tonight. The new skills are in but they are not solid yet. The team left points on beam and vault due to falls.

“The team is aware of what needs to happen to get the scores,” Owls coach Angie Mellencamp said. ” This week each girl has been battling different health battles. Hopefully next everyone will be back to 100%. We are looking forward to getting back after it next week at home.”
