The Paint the Town crew with Southern Indiana Center for the Arts will be at a downtown eatery Jan. 29 offering a fun acrylic painting.
Paint the Town is a social painting group class where no prior experience or talent is required.
“Grateful Heart” will be done on an 11-by-21-inch shingle with a curved bottom.
“This lesson will allow participants to see how acrylic paint flows on a black chalkboard paint background,” instructor Darnell Dukes said. “The colors are transparent, making the project seem as if it was done with chalk rather than paint.”
Deadline for registration is 5 p.m. Jan 26, and only 18 seats are available.
This class begins at 2 p.m. at Rails Craft Brew and Eatery, 114 St. Louis Ave, Seymour. All supplies and instructions are included in the price of $32.50. Arts center members get a 20 percent discount. Drinks and food will be available for purchase.
