The Jackson County Public Library board of finance’s annual meeting was conducted Monday at the Seymour Library.

Josh Bartley of Norman was elected president, and Susan Haskett was elected secretary. The board reviewed 2016 investments and canceled uncashed 2014 checks and automated payments.

Bartley and Haskett serve as the same officers for the 2017 board of trustees. The other board of trustee officers are Kathy Ellis, vice president; Sally Crouch, assistant secretary; and Mary Reed, treasurer.

Bartley, recently re-appointed by county commissioners for a second four-year term through December 2020, appointed committees for the year. They are budget, Crouch, chairwoman, and Tammy Koerner; facilities, Susan Haskett, chairwoman, and Bob Mahan; nominating, Ellis, chairwoman, Haskett and Koerner; and personnel, Mahan, chairman, Crouch and Ellis.

The board approved personnel changes, surplus furniture and equipment and out-of-state travel for library director Julia Aker and Bartley to attend the American Library Association Conference in Chicago in June.

The board of trustees’ next regular meeting is Feb. 21 at the Seymour Library, 303 W. Second St.
