The Jackson County Public Library will offer a new free class called Going Places for children in kindergarten through fifth grade at 4 p.m. one Thursday per month at the Seymour library.

Participants will step into different countries and experience new cultures through stories, crafts, music, snacks and other activities. Registration is required.

The first program, set for Thursday, will feature China. The second program, featuring Italy, will be Feb. 23.
