Carolyn Sue Tungeitt, 64, of Seymour passed away Sunday, Jan. 22, 2017, at Columbus Regional Health.

Born Oct. 13, 1952, in Seymour, she was the daughter of Theodore and Myrtle White Gorbett, both of whom preceded her in death. On Oct. 16, 1970, in Seymour, she married Sam Tungeitt, who survives.

Carolyn went to work for Valeo Sylvania in Seymour, where she retired after 32 years of service. After retirement, Carolyn needed something to do so she went to work for Circle K and enjoyed every day, being with people. She loved her grandchildren, playing bingo, going to the boat in French Lick and her dogs. 

Besides her husband of 48 years, survivors include two children, Pamela (Dennis) Smith and William Tungeitt; three grandchildren, Dennis Smith, Brittney (Brandon) Vetter and Dillan Smith; three brothers. Charles Gorbett, Roger Gorbett and David Gorbett; and a sister, Janice McCleary.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Landon Tungeitt.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Voss Chapel with the Rev. Mike Patton officiating. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
