TAMPA, Fla.

John Vernon, 81, of Tampa, Florida, died Friday, Jan. 20, 2017.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Bobbie, five children and five grandchildren.

The funeral service will be at 7 p.m. Monday at St. James United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until time of service.

Military honors will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Florida National Cemetery.
