AUSTIN

Vasco England, 71, of Austin passed away Friday, Jan. 27, 2017, at his home

Born Dec. 22, 1945, in Washington County, he was the son of Oscar England and Clara Benge England, both of whom preceded him in death. He married Patricia Driver England, who survives.

He was a member of First Baptist Church in Austin and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Other survivors, besides his wife of 28 years, include sons, Vasco England and Shannon England, both of Seymour; a daughter, Charlean England of Seymour; stepsons, Brent Booth of Scottsburg and Michael Booth of Clarksville; a brother, Robert England of Medora; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, John, Kenny, Pearl and Glen England and a sister, Nana Vee England.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Austin. Burial will be at Zoah Cemetery in Scottsburg with American Legion Post 234 Honor Guard conducting a military graveside service.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m today and from 11 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the church.
