To the editor:
Many dedicated Democrats like myself, whose votes were drowned in the Republican red tide of the last election, have been feeling nostalgic for the election and presidency of Barack Obama.
President 44 set a standard for all those who follow him, a thoughtful, responsible person of high principles. He has proven to be strong, kind, wise and patient. He chose health care as an area of need and made improvements for many in spite of opposition.
Loretta Lynch, Obama’s choice for attorney general, spoke briefly commemorating Martin Luther King. Her quote from King helped me form an attitude adjustment. “Times of adversity are not cause for despair, but are a call for action.”
