Two area residents were arrested Monday after a traffic stop on Seymour’s south side.

Stephen C. Stidam, 33, of Crothersville, and Amy N. Wardrop, 26, of North Vernon, both face charges of dealing in methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine.

Stidam also faces charges of maintaining a common nuisance and driving while suspended with a prior, while Wardrop also faces charges of visiting a common nuisance and possession of paraphernalia.

At 2:24 p.m. Monday, Officer Mike Payne with the Seymour Police Department stopped a vehicle in the 700 block of Sprenger Road for multiple alleged infractions.

While investigating the activity of the vehicle’s occupants, Payne said he located more than 4 grams of methamphetamine, multiple drug paraphernalia items and items consistent with the dealing of methamphetamine.

Both Stidam and Wardrop were booked into the Jackson County Jail in Brownstown without bond.

Officer Mike Henley assisted Payne.
