NORTH VERNON

Leila Ellen Mitchell, 75, of North Vernon died Friday, Feb. 3, 2017, at Decatur County Memorial Hospital in Greensburg.

Survivors include her husband, Roy L. Mitchell; a son, Stephen (Erin) Mitchell of Dupont; three daughters, Deborah (Glen) Carney of North Vernon, Amelia Suhre of Louisville and Amanda (David) Bryant of Dupont; a brother, Larry (Pam) Jines of Vernon; a sister, Marsha McMurtrey of North Vernon; a half sister, Grace Ramey of North Vernon; and seven grandchildren.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. today at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service in North Vernon with the Rev. James Terry and the Rev. Kent Stroud officiating. Burial will be in Vernon Cemetery.
