Hazel I. Willcutt, 89, of Medora, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2017, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour.

Born April 14, 1927, in Marion County, she was the daughter of George and Addie Mitchner Peachee, both of whom preceded her in death. On Oct. 28, 1943, in Lawrence County, she married Hershel Willcutt, who preceded her in death April 13, 2006.

Hazel was a member of Medora Christian Church, Carr Township Conservation Club and Jackson County Conservation Council. She retired from Medora Plastics Factory.

Survivors include a son, Thomas L. (Velma) Willcutt of Seymour; a daughter, Betty J. (Dickie) Clampitt of Medora; Roy Gene (Barbara) Wingler, who lived with her for more than five years; a brother, George L. (Shirley) Peachee Jr. of Kentucky; three sisters, Alice Galbraith of Seymour, Julietta Weddell of Pineville, Kentucky, and Marilyn Mumford of Columbus; three grandchildren, Amber (Barry) Crane, Jason (Diane) Clampitt and Becky (David) Vehslage; three stepgrandchildren, Bill and Kim Garrison, Mary and Ben Toppe and James and Teresa Garrison; seven great-grandchildren, Logan Lane, Karcyn Gray Davers, Hunter Clampitt, Mickayla Crane, Alyce Crane, Marley Vehslage and Evan Vehslage; eight stepgreat-grandchildren; and a great-great grandson, Jaxon Lee Gray Davers.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Leon Peachee, Roland Peachee and Homer Peachee.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Medora Christian Church with Stan Thomas and Jacob Breedlove officiating. Burial will be at White River Valley Cemetery in Medora.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the church.

Spurgeon Funeral Home in Brownstown handled the arrangements.
