“Boy, have we had a wonderful week here at school.”

Those were the first words spoken by Crothersville High School Principal David Schill on Thursday night during a pep session for the sectional-champion and regional-bound girls basketball team.

The event featured cheerleaders and the Tigers mascot leading fans in cheers, a special video presentation, an auction of autographed sectional items and a free-throw shooting game.

Athletics Director Greg Kilgore and head coach Kevin Hensley also spoke, and Crothersville Town Councilman Chad Wilson read a proclamation declaring it Crothersville Lady Tigers Week in the town.

At noon Saturday, the Tigers will play Class A No. 1 Wood Memorial in the Springs Valley Regional.
