Gene Wilson

CROTHERSVILLE

Gene F. Wilson, 69, of Crothersville passed away at 11:20 a.m. Friday, Feb. 10, 2017, at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville.

Born Jan. 1, 1948, in Crawfordsville, he was the son of Everett and Bernice English Wilson, both of whom preceded him in death. In 1970, in Crawfordsville, he married Sarah D. Cummings Wilson, who survives in Crothersville.

He was retired from the Indiana State Highway Department and was a former employee at Culver Union Hospital in Crawfordsville and Stucker Fork Utilities. He owned and operated G & G Bait and Tackle Shop in Crothersville and was a carpenter. He was a fisherman, a talented artist who enjoyed painting and a CB enthusiast, who was known to many by his CB handle “Shotgun.”

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Floyd Wilson and Dutch Fisher.

A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Adams Family Funeral Home and Crematory in Crothersville with Pastor Randy King officiating.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until time of service Friday.
