Roberta Jean Holland, 75, of Seymour passed away Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017, at Schneck Medical Center.
Born Dec. 30, 1941, in Seymour, she was the daughter of Robert “Ted” Shutters and Betty Jean Hinton Shutters, both of whom preceded her in death. She married John Holland, who survives.
Roberta was a homemaker and formerly worked for Gerwin Shoe Factory, before retiring from Seinsheimer Clothing Factory after several years of service. She enjoyed sewing for family and friends. She loved her grandkids, as some would say they were her world.
She graduated from Indiana School for the Deaf in 1960, as her grandson, C.W. Raby II, did in 2016.
Other survivors include daughters, Betsie (Michael) Sutter, Isabelle (Toby) Collins, Sandra (Brian) McFall Beebe and Julia McFall; a brother, Jeff (Wanda) Shutters; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren with another one on the way.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death two brothers, Danny Shutters and Charles Shutters.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Voss & Sons Funeral Service. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
