NORTH VERNON

Robert Eugene “Uncle Bobby” Amis, 72, of North Vernon, died at 12:18 a.m. Friday, Feb. 17, 2017, at Columbus Regional Health.

Survivors include his wife, Alice J. Amis; a son, Robert Amis Jr. of Hayden; a daughter, Tammy Giddens of North Vernon; a brother, Bill (Marge) Amis of North Vernon; a sister, Ida (Jim) Moody of Florida; and a grandson.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon with the Rev. Drew Dukes and the Rev. Daryl Amis officiating. Burial will take place at Vernon Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and from noon until the time of service Tuesday.

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, American Diabetes Foundation or First Baptist Church.
