WASHINGTON COUNTY

Richard Eugene Treadway, 81, of Washington County, passed away at 1:15 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, 2017, at his home.

Born April 21, 1935, in Medora, he was the son of Homer Treadway and Mary Brown Treadway, both of whom preceded him in death.

He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed fishing, art work, puzzles and building birdhouses. He loved to go to the Ross Country Jamboree.

Survivors include 16 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, William Treadway and Homer Treadway, and two sisters, Edna Morley and Louise Overshiner.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Hague Funeral Home in Medora with Pastor Scott Erwin officiating. Burial will be at Dixon Chapel Cemetery in Lawrence County.

Visitation will be from 11 until time of service Monday.

Memorials may be given to Dixon Chapel Cemetery or Blue River Services Inc.
