William “Bill” Krumme, 82, of Seymour passed away Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born Oct. 5, 1934, he was the son of Lawrence Krumme and Lucille Bryan Krumme, both of whom preceded him in death. On May 25, 1958, at Crothersville Baptist Church, he married Nila A. England Krumme, who survives.

A 1952 graduate of Shields High School, Bill served in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of the Korean War. He retired from a career in maintenance after working for Standard Oil Co., Amoco and Silgan. He was a member of the American Legion, Seymour Elks Club, the Philippine Seas Co. and Immanuel Lutheran Church.

He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Other survivors besides his wife of 58 years include his son, Tim (Debbie) Krumme; his two daughters, Kim (Randy) Medaris and Amy Jo Jones; his sister, Mary Margret Krumme; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he also was preceded in death by his brother, Robert D. Krumme.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Voss Chapel with the Rev. Ralph Blomenburg officiating. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery with a full military graveside rites conducted by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1925, American Legion 89, Disabled Veterans 47, Korean and Vietnam Veterans, all of Seymour.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from noon until time of service.

Memorials may be made to the American Legion, Hospice of Schneck or Schneck Medical Center.
