BROWNSTOWN

Betty-Jo Perry, 87, of Brownstown passed away Friday, March 17, 2017, at Hoosier Christian Village.

Born May 7, 1929, in Brownstown, she was the daughter of Ed and Blanche Shelton Boley, both of whom preceded her in death. On Dec. 24, 1946, in Carrolton, Kentucky, she married Clyde Perry, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Perry was a member of First Baptist Church of Brownstown and Brownstown Psi Iota Xi. She was an insurance agent with Foster Storey Insurance Co. and also helped her husband at Perry Jewelry Store. She enjoyed playing golf, bingo and bridge.

Survivors include two daughters, Jacque (Dr. Robert) Gillespie of Brownstown and Debra (Greg) Bennett of Michigan; two grandchildren, Letitia (John) Luciano of Cleveland and James Robert Gillespie of New York; and three great-grandchildren, all of Cleveland.

She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy Boley and Edwin Boley.

The funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Spurgeon Funeral Home with Scott Erwin officiating. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Brownstown.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time Tuesday.
