Trinity falls in suspended game

Edinburgh scored five runs in the top of the sixth inning to break a 2-2 tie and defeat Trinity Lutheran 8-2 in a game completed Friday afternoon at Alf Snyder Field.

The first five plus innings was played Monday before the game was suspended by weather.

Keegan Sida had a 2-run single for the Lancers (2-0) in the top of the sixth. Zach Murphy and Bryce Burton both had three hits for the winners.

The Cougars (0-2) had four hits with Sam Crick getting a single, while he also walked once and scored a run.  Nick Mensendiek walked three times and scored one run.

Five Trinity pitchers combined strike out 12, walk five and allow nine hits.
