Olen Nantz, 61, of Brownstown died at 8:23 p.m. Friday, March 31, 2017, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour. He had been ill for four months.

Born March 11, 1956, in Wyandotte, Michigan, he was the son of James Nantz, who died in 1986, and Delorice Dobb Nantz Perry, who survives in Brownstown.

He was affiliated with Vallonia Christian Church and was retired from the Indiana State Highway Department. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.

Other survivors include his girlfriend, Connie Dingess; two children, Stacey Mae Quebbleman of Austin and Todd Matthew Nantz of Crothersville; seven grandchildren; and a brother, Sonny James Nantz of Seymour.

Besides his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Dellia Faye Nantz, who passed away in August 2016.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Johnson Funeral Home in Vallonia with Chris Criminger officiating. Burial will take place at Weddleville Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
