Nancy Ann Engelking, 65, of Seymour passed away Sunday, April 2, 2017.

Born Dec. 29, 1951, in Columbus, she was the daughter of George and Bessie Bailey, both of whom preceded her in death. On March 14, 1970, she married Steven Wayne Engelking, who survives.

She worked as a devoted wife and mother for more than 40 years and family was her love and joy. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, watching the news, weather, bird watching, movies, learning and spending time with her family. She was working on her degree in criminology. She was a Legion of Hoosier Heroines. She was recognized by the Adjutant General of Indiana for her heroic stature as a lady and by her support of the principles of military science. Her ability to love and her strength was beyond measure.

Other survivors besides her devoted husband of 47 years include her two children, Steven W Engelking II and Lisa A. Engelking; five grandchildren, Cory A. Burbrink, Brett M. Burbrink, Austin S. Engelking (Natalie Engelking), Montana S. Engelking and Mason R. Engelking; five sisters, Connie (Mike) Manchester, Evelyn Sykes, April (Ray) Heltman, Judy (Dan) Jackson and Robyn Bailey; nieces and nephews; and the rest of her relatives and friends.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Voss and Sons Funeral Service with the Rev. Keith Wingham officiating. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran High School.
