Schneck Foundation plans to present a program about obesity and how to control weight, including surgical options, from 6 to 8 p.m. May 2 at John Hay Center/Stevens Memorial Museum, 307 E. Market St. in Salem.

Dr. Brandon Millick with Schneck Surgical Associates and Schneck Surgical Weight Loss will be the guest speaker for the program entitled “Obesity: Finding Solutions that Fit.”

More than a third of American adults are obese, and obesity contributes to several serious health conditions, including arthritis, hypertension, heart disease and diabetes, to name a few, according to a news release from the foundation.
