Randy Lee Burton, 58, of Seymour passed away Monday, April 10, 2017, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour.
Born Oct. 27, 1958, in Columbus, he was the son of James and Phyllis Hatfield Burton, both of whom preceded him in death.
Randy had worked as a truck driver for Rumpke for more than 15 years, and his last employment was for Seymour Tubing from 2004 to 2005. He graduated from Columbus East High School in 1977 and attended Hayden Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, being outdoors and horseback riding. He also loved to watch NASCAR races and monster trucks.
Survivors include his daughters, Angel (Jeff) Wright and Christy (Richard) Little; sister, Donna Lockherd; caretakers, Jennifer (Mike) Campbell, SuAnn Vancleve and Chris Gambrel; four several grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and two nieces.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Nancy Hibbs and Terry Purtabaugh.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Woodlawn Life Celebration Centre in Seymour with Pastor Ronnie Plumer officiating. Burial will follow at Hayden Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
