Ruby May Hall, 79, of North Vernon, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2017, at Seymour Crossing in Seymour.

Born May 26, 1937, in Seymour, she was the daughter of Raymond and Mary McCreary Hill, both of whom preceded her in death.

Ruby graduated from Shields High School in 1957 and was a member of Ackeret’s Chapel United Methodist Church. She worked in health care as a nursing assistant, both at Seymour Crossing and in private care. She loved to make several beautiful quilts by hand and baked wedding and birthday cakes.

Survivors include her sisters-in-law, Gerry Hill, Wilma Hill and Kathy Robbins; and more than 52 nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Raymond Hill, Bill Hill and Dick Robbins; and her sisters, Helen (Earl) Vandiver, Mazo (Rure) Higginbothan and Lucille (Delbert) Bannister.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Woodlawn Family Funeral Centre in Seymour with the Rev. David Carnine officiating. Burial will follow at Reddington Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service Friday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ruby May Hall Memorial Fund through the funeral home.
