Betty L. Hoene, 91, of Seymour, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at Hoosier Christian Village in Brownstown.

Born March 19, 1926, in Brownstown, she was the daughter of Edward and Neva Miller Knott, both of whom preceded her in death. On Aug. 18, 1946, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Borchers, she married Alvin Hoene, who preceded her in death March 28, 2009.

She was a woman of steadfast faith, truly living the faith she believed. She always had time for her family and friends, touching many lives. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her sons, Joe (Kay) Hoene and Tim (Judy) Hoene; daughter-in-law, Karen Hoene; grandchildren, Eric (Johnni) Hoene, Doug (Abby) Hoene, Dan Hoene, Ben (Julie) Hoene, Derek (Brandi) Hoene, Jenni (Curt) Acton, Brad (Amanda) Hoene, Ryan (Alexa) Hoene, Wendy Nicholson, Jesse Woolsey, Zack Woolsey, Brad (Jennifer) Albert and Andy Albert; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca Woolsey; a son, David W. Hoene; a son-in-law, Gary Woolsey; a sister, Edith Burrell; and brothers, John Knott, Joe Knott, Melvin Knott and Harry Knott.

The funeral service will be conducted by Voss and Sons Funeral Service at 1 p.m. Friday at Borchers Chapel of St. Paul Lutheran Church with the Rev. Stephen Wood officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Borchers.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service Friday at Borchers Chapel.
