Egg hunt, film event set in Brownstown

A free Easter egg hunt is set for 2 p.m. Saturday at the Jackson County Courthouse lawn, 111 S. Main St., Brownstown.

It’s open to all ages between toddlers and fifth grade. Registration is from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.

All children will leave with candy and a toy. Participants should bring their own basket.

Immediately following the egg hunt, the movie “It’s the Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown” will be shown at Heritage Park, 121 E. Walnut St., across from the courthouse.

People are invited to bring their own chair or blanket to sit on during the movie.

The event is sponsored by Brownstown/Ewing Main Street, the town of Brownstown, Brownstown Chamber of Commerce and The Peoples Bank.
