Nannie Mae Clark, 72, of Austin, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour with her family by her side.

Born Dec. 9, 1944, in Scott County, she was the daughter of Oscar “Lee” Hines and Sudie Barnard Hines, both of whom preceded her in death. On March 18, 1967, she married her soulmate, Oval Lee Clark.

She retired from Ponderosa and Jonesville Canvas. She enjoyed and loved serving and working in numerous offices, roles, committees and taking care of her family and serving the Lord. Some of her favorites were 4-H leader, Bethany Baptist Sunday school teacher, vacation Bible school, secretary, American Baptist Women’s Ministries and Tri-County Conservation Club.

Survivors include two daughters, Tracy (Brian) Karnes and Leanna Harper, both of Austin; grandsons, Johnathon Clark, James Amos Jr. and Hunter Harper; stepgranddaughter, Jade Beddoe; great-grandson, Gabriel Dean, with siblings, Salem, Aydun and Esker; great-granddaughter, Barbara Estepp; sisters, Darlene Clark, Thelma Doss and Linda Stoner; brothers, Billy (Marilyn) Hines, Denny (Avanell) Hines and Roger (Joyce) Hines; and numerous nieces, nephews and greats.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Buchanan Funeral Home in Austin with Brother Mike Payne officiating.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery in Crothersville.

Memorials may be made to Bethany Baptist Church or Tri-County Conservation Club in her memory.
