Ruth Colleen Fish Sunderman, 91, of Seymour passed away Friday, April 14, 2017, at Lutheran Community Home in Seymour.

Born Aug. 1, 1925, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Roy and Leta Matlock Fish, both of whom preceded her in death. On Nov. 5, 1949, she married Alfred “Tiny” Sunderman, who preceded her in death April 26, 2000.

She loved gardening, sewing and quilting. She was a 66-year member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour.

Survivors include her son, Dennis (Sandy) Sunderman Sr.; grandsons, John (Christina) Sunderman, Dennis Sunderman Jr. and Jeff Carlisle; stepgrandsons, Brian (Tammi) Covert and Bradley (Kathy) Covert; and great-grandchildren, Stephanie and Ava Sunderman and Reece, Cayleb, Chloe and Carter Covert.

Besides his parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Wayne, Loren, Leonard and Raymond Fish; and daughter-in-law, Stephanie Ann Sunderman.

The funeral service will be conducted by Voss and Sons Funeral Service at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Ralph Blomenberg, the Rev. Jimmy Rodriguez, the Rev. Philip Bloch and Vicar Joel Newton officiating. 

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the church.

Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Seymour.
