Elnora Louise Chandler, 94, of Indianapolis passed away Saturday, April 15, 2017.

She was born Aug. 9, 1922, in Seymour and was married to Robert Chandler, who preceded her in death.

She retired in 1982 after working at AT&T (previously Western Electric) in telephone manufacturing for 30 years. She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Southport, the Telephone Pioneers of America and the Red Hat Society.

Survivors include her daughters, Jo Ann (David) Sowder and Rose Mary (Thomas) Click; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Robert Lee Chandler, six brothers and three sisters.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center at 7602 Madison Ave. in Indianapolis. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service.
