Robin Lynn Wheeler, 57, of Vallonia died Monday, April 17, 2017, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour. She had been ill for 17 years.

Born Oct. 13, 1959, in Seymour, she was the daughter of Robert Wayne Wheeler, who preceded her in death in 2007, and Shirley Moore Wheeler, who survives in Vallonia. She had been a lifelong resident of Jackson County. On Oct. 5, 1979, in Medora, she married Kenneth Ray Wheeler, who survives.

She attended Medora Christian Church and had been employed with Spartans, as a security guard with Pinkerton and had been town clerk of Medora for four years. She was a 1977 graduate of Medora High School. She was a huge collector of anything Coca-Cola, Mickey Mouse/Disney, angels and Elvis.

Other survivors include two children, Stephanie Jo Wheeler of Commiskey and Benjamin Christopher (Jessica) Wheeler of Lebanon; two brothers, Darrell Allen (Carol) Wheeler of Seymour and Jackie Myron Wheeler of Vallonia; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Johnson Funeral Home with Jerry Wheeler and Greg Underwood officiating. Burial will be at Vallonia Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
