SEYMOUR

Susan “Sue” Wink Bottorff, 69, of Seymour, formerly of Carrollton, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2017, at Franciscan Health Hospital in Mooresville.

Born June 30, 1947, in Louisville, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Theodore and Grace T. Bourne Forbes, both of whom preceded her in death. She was married to Jim Shelton, who is the father of her children. She then married John David Bottorff on Aug. 7, 1981. He passed away Jan. 10, 2009.

She grew up with the Presbyterian faith in Carrollton area. When she moved to Seymour, she attended First United Methodist Church. Sue enjoyed being a homemaker, who stayed very active with her friends and family. She was an individual who had caring heart and cherished each and every person with whom she had contact with. Sue had an amazing gift for communication and would never forget a name.

Survivors include her daughter, Molly (Chris) Marshall; son, Patrick Shelton; stepdaughter, Alexandra Fettig; grandchildren, Owen Marshall, Claire Marshall, Jessie Fettig, Riley Fettig, Ellie Fettig and Jackson Roberts; a sister, Jennie (Rick) Norris; and best friend, Jean Barkman.

A funeral remembrance service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Sandy Cooper officiating. Burial will follow at Cortland Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday Voss and Sons Funeral Service and from 9:30 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the church.
