A seminar about human trafficking to better inform the public about the worldwide business of enslaving men and women will be from 4 to 6 p.m. April 30 at First United Methodist Church, 201 E. Third St., Seymour.

Guest speakers Tom Overton from One Mission Society and Jessica Evans, founder of Purchased, an Indianapolis-based ministry that raises awareness regarding modern-day slavery through education, fundraisers and presentations, will be offering their insights and experiences.

A panel discussion and question-and-answer time will follow their presentations.

There is no cost to attend, but a freewill offering will be received to defray the costs of the speakers.

The seminar is sponsored by TEAM REACH, a group of United Methodist churches in Jackson, Jennings and Bartholomew counties working together to help the community.
