The Jackson County Public Library board of trustees received a report from maintenance specialist Ron Duncan during the board’s monthly meeting Monday at the Seymour Library.

Duncan is in charge of maintenance at the Seymour, Crothersville and Medora libraries and the Discovery Bus and has been switching the library’s lighting over to LED. He is representing the library in this year’s Leadership Jackson County class with a history group’s project on the Lynn Street School.

The board approved spending $945 from the library endowment at the Community Foundation of Jackson County for outdoor bulletin boards for the Crothersville and Medora libraries.

The board also approved personnel changes, revisions to the circulation policy, changes to the Evergreen Indiana bylaws and dates for the 2017 Food for Fines promotion. This year’s one-time two-week event is August 13 through 26 and is available to anyone who has returned undamaged materials and paid the $10 collection agency fee.

The next regular library board meeting is at 5 p.m. May 15 at the Seymour Library, 303 W. Second St. Board meetings are open to the public and press.
