Columbus police arrested a Medora man for possession of methamphetamine, theft and four Bartholomew County warrants after he was seen acting suspiciously around a Columbus store.

Columbus police were called to the 2300 block of 25th Street at 2:40 p.m. Wednesday and found Aaron J. Crum, 30, who appeared to be ill. A warrant check determined that four warrants were pending for Crum, all involving failure to appear in court, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.

While searching Crum’s clothing, officers found a small amount of methamphetamine in a pack of cigarettes, Harris said.

Crum is also a suspect in a theft of nearly $1,700 after he was accused of using a bank card that did not belong to him to make cash withdrawals and purchase several items from a local store.

Crum was taken to the Bartholomew County Jail and is being held in lieu of $25,000 bond, jail officials said.
