Glendon “Glenn” Guinn, 56, of Seymour passed away Friday, April 28, 2017, at his home with his family by his side.

Born Feb. 21, 1961, in Berea, Kentucky, he was the son of Jerry Guinn, who preceded him in death, and Frances Bicknell Guinn, who survives. On Oct. 25, 1980, in Seymour, he married Donna Kissel, who also survives.

He was a graduate of Seymour High School Class of 1979. He was best known for being “Papa” to his grandkids, and he loved spending time with them. He also enjoyed fishing and being outdoors and was especially happy when working on his Jeep CJ5 or taking it to car shows. Glenn was a diesel mechanic at Grammer Industries for 11 years.

Besides his mother and devoted wife, survivors include a son, Jimmy (Ashley Mellencamp) Guinn; a daughter, Ashley (Andrew) Tarr; a brother, Gaylon (Brandy) Guinn; two sisters, Kathy Phillips and Debbie (Tim) Underwood; two grandsons, Brayden and Grayson Tarr; and a granddaughter, Delylah Guinn.

Besides his father, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Addaley Tarr.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Voss & Sons Funeral Service in Seymour. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
