CROTHERSVILLE

Sara Sue Hillenburg, 68, of Crothersville passed away Thursday, April 27, 2017, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour.

Born Aug. 27, 1948, in Seymour, she was the daughter of Herbert C. and Edna M. Boknecht Hillenburg, both of whom preceded her in death.

She was a 1966 graduate of Crothersville High School and a faithful member of Crothersville Christian Church, where she enjoyed helping with the decorations for special events and using her crafting skills. She enjoyed playing euchre, was a member of a card club in Crothersville and an Indiana University basketball fan. She also enjoyed watching the U.S. Open on television.

Survivors include her son, Jason Paul Hillenburg; a brother, Ralph D. (Judy) Hillenburg; two sisters, Norieta M. Sichting and Linda J. Ault-Potter; and two stepgrandchildren, Megan and Jacob Jackson.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Donald H. Hillenburg.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Voss & Sons Funeral Service in Seymour with the Rev. John M. Sichting and the Rev. Jeff Hudelson officiating. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until time of service Monday at the funeral home.
