Patricia Joan Maschino, 67, of North Vernon passed away Saturday, April 29, 2017, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour.

Born July 17, 1949, in Seymour, she was the daughter of Halford and Vurlena Carmichael McKain. On Sept. 5, 1970, in Hayden, she married H. Joe Maschino, who preceded her in death.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church at Four Corners. She was the owner-operator of Pat’s Beauty Bar for more than 25 years and a hairdresser for more than 34 years, most recently at All In One Hair Care. She also was a member of American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

She loved her family and friends and was always willing to help others. She always had a beautiful smile and manner that warmed many hearts in the community. She was the epitome of a selfless humble servant to others in need. She used her talent as a beautician to become certified by the American Cancer Society to help people fight back against the visual and emotional side effects of cancer. Through the free “Look Good, Feel Better” program, she provided skin care techniques and wigs for hair loss to those undergoing cancer treatment.

Survivors include her sons, Craig A. (Carrie) Maschino and Keith Aaron Maschino; grandchildren, Spencer, Caroline, Meredith, Savannah, Samantha, Austin, Cara, Nakea and Jacob; a sister, Carolyn Acton; a brother, Halford Lee “Buck” McKain; and stepsisters, Debbie Bloomenstock, Lisa Robinson and Barbara Pickett; and a stepbrother, Tom Carr.

The funeral Mass will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church at Four Corners with Father Jerry Byrd officiating assisted by Deacon Larry French. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

A Rosary service, open to the public, will be at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday,at Voss and Sons Funeral Service in Seymour.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The procession will leave Voss’s at 1 p.m. for the church.
