Heaverin Glenn Douglas, 81, of Seymour passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at Schneck Medical Center.

Born Dec. 9, 1935, in Hammond, he was the son of Heaverin and Murrell Reneer Douglas, both of whom preceded him in death. On Feb. 5, 1973, in Portage, he married Ella F. Hardin, who survives.

He served in the armed forces of the United States of America and was a retired truck driver.

Other survivors include his children, Larry and his two children; Steven and his child; Cynthia and her son, Ted Allen; Danny and his children, Kenneth and Lindsey; Shelly and her four children; Belinda and her three children, Amanda, Doug Jr. and Ashly; Glenn Jr. and his three children, Kevin, Azure and Araya; Harold and his son, Josiah; and eight great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents; he was preceded in death by his son, Donald, and two sisters.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Voss and Sons Funeral Service with Pastor Randy Lankford officiating. Burial will be at Vernon Cemetery with full military graveside rites conducted by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1925, American Legion Post 89, Disabled Veterans 47, Korean and Vietnam Veterans, all of Seymour.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
