A Paint in the Park event to kick off the new Southern Indiana Rocks! group has changed dates and locations.

With new sponsorship from Jackson County United Way, the rock painting activity designed for all ages and abilities will be May 20 at the annual Seymour Main Street Lawn, Garden and Patio Show.

The event was originally supposed to be this Saturday at Shields Park.

All supplies, including rocks and paint, will be provided for children and adults to decorate rocks that they will hide in public places in the community, such as parks and trails, for other people to find.
