Charles Delano Stanton, 66, of Seymour, passed away at his home on Thursday, May 4, 2017.

Born on September 17, 1950, in Seymour, the son of Woodrow and Mary Ethel Brown Stanton.

He was married to Delilah Hope Otte, on January 29, 1968, in Seymour.

Charles was a self-employed carpenter and enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing cards, but especially loved spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Delilah; his children, Charles Edward (Diana) Stanton, Ronnie Eugene (Tracy) Stanton, Brenda Kay (Phillip) Cooper, Woodrow Clarence Stanton; grandchildren, Dustin (Jordan) Nowaskie, Damon (Savannah) Stanton, Brandon Stanton, Brooke Stanton, Austin Stanton, and Jalen Stanton; great-grandchildren, Dayven and Dalayna Stanton; and a brother, Joseph Stanton.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Thelma Lorene Stanton and brothers, Asa, David and Paul Stanton.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, at Burkholder Funeral Chapel where Rev. Herman Gorham will officiate. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery.
