SEYMOUR

Jose Luis DeJesus, 62, of Seymour, formerly of Columbus, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at Covered Bridge Health Campus.

Born April 27, 1955, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, he was the son of Gregory and Rosa Martinez DeJesus, both of whom preceded him in death.

He enjoyed going to car shows and working on cars. He also enjoyed playing bingo at the nursing home. His passion was his family and he loved spending times with his children and especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his children, Francisco (Jennifer) Vega DeJesus and Jose (Melissa) DeJesus Jr., all of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Amber Salvador of Seymour; nine grandchildren, Tristen, Daniela, William, Keelen, Pamila, D’Angelo, Isaac, Brandon and Madison.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Raymond Martinez.

The funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Woodlawn Life Celebration Centre.

Visitation will be 1 p.m. until time of service.
