Pine Ridge Extension Homemakers Club met April 25 at Small Town Stitches in Seymour.

Owner Kim Darlage discussed the items and services she offers and demonstrated a quilting machine that automatically stitches a selected pattern through topping, backing and batting. Each member also received a coaster, along with instructions on how to make it.

President Mary Ann Seaney presided at the business meeting during which plans were made to carpool to Achievement Night, which was May 4 at Camp Pyoca. Name tags made by Marge Patman were distributed.

Eleven members responded to roll call by naming their favorite spring flowers.

Aryss Beebe led in singing “The More We Get Together.”

For the citizenship lesson, Jean Auffenberg led a discussion on Meals on Wheels. It was noted that members Doris Frey and Mary Miller were pictured in The Tribune while making their April Meals on Wheels deliveries.

Hostess Doris Frey gave devotions, a prayer for blessings on the government and served refreshments.

The next meeting will be at 7 p.m. May 23 at the home of Norma Pollert.
