Brownstown firefighters have begun wrapping up their work to put out a structure fire at Branch and Ewing streets with the aim of opening up Ewing Street to traffic before school lets out.

Ewing Street had been closed between Walnut and Spring streets because of the need to lay fire hose to fight the fire, reported after 2 p.m. Monday.
