Clarence “J.B.” Howard Jr., 51, of Crothersville, passed away Thursday, May 11, 2017, at his home.

Born April 15, 1966, in Indianapolis, he was the son of Delphie White Howard, who survives in Butlerville, and Clarence Howard Sr., who preceded him in death. On Nov. 22, 1986, in Indianapolis, he married Alicia Vandergriff, who survives.

He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, camping and collecting cars, stamps and coins.

Other survivors include a son, Clarence “Clay” Howard III of Crothersville; a daughter, Amy Howard of Butlerville; brothers, Lloyd Howard and Elbert “Ebb” Howard, both of North Vernon; a sister, Juanita Stevens of Butlerville; grandchildren, Logan Mitchell and Liam Bailey, both of Butlerville, and Jacob Howard and Bri Howard, both of South Carolina; and a nephew, Jason Howard of Fillmore.

Besides his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, David Howard.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon with the Rev. Anthony Sweeney officiating. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery in Seymour.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
