A Memorial Day ceremony is planned for 1:30 p.m. May 28 at Fairview Cemetery, 610 N. High St., Brownstown.

Doug Pogue will be the speaker, and Max Middendorf will be the master of ceremonies and lead the Pledge of Allegiance.

Other participants include Glen Killey, who will lead the flag raising; Barry Cutter, who will provide the invocation; John Spurgeon, who will sing patriotic songs; and members of the Seymour Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1925 and American Legion Post 89 Honor Guard, who will provide a military salute.

The event will end with the playing of taps by Dick Parman.

The public is invited.
