HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Authorities say a woman was able to escape an early morning apartment fire by leaping from a third-story window.

WHNT-TV reports (http://bit.ly/2qR1TVP ) that the woman was taken to a hospital after escaping from the blaze in Huntsville before dawn Wednesday.

Fire officials say residents evacuated from 25 units in the apartment complex. They said the fire was contained to two apartments, and there was smoke damage to other units.
