LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas — Sheriff’s officials say it appears there’s a connection between a fatal shooting near Little Rock, a suicide the next day in that city and a double homicide involving a woman and her daughter.

The Saline County sheriff’s office said in a statement Tuesday that the person responsible for the fatal shooting Saturday in the community of Mabelvale, southwest of Little Rock, “is no longer a threat.”

A juvenile was found dead in the driveway of a home in that incident.

Little Rock police on Sunday then found the body of a 35-year-old man at a mobile home. A handgun was found nearby.

The next day at the same mobile home park, 32-year-old Amanda Murillo was found dead inside an SUV along with her 15-year-old daughter.

Authorities have not explained why they believe the deaths are connected.
