Kenneth Dale Perry, 83, of Brownstown passed away at 8:30 p.m. Monday, May 15, 2017, at Schneck Medical Center.

Born Aug. 5, 1933, he was the son of Therman and Berdie Mae Young Perry, both of whom preceded him in death. On April 11, 1992, he married Delorice F. Dodd Nantz Perry, who survives in Brownstown.

He retired from the Indiana Department of Highways after 25 years. He then worked 30 years for Spray Sand and Gravel as a heavy equipment operator and was a part-time employee for Lee’s Gravel Pit. He enjoyed planting a garden, fishing, talking, telling stories, playing with his grandkids and working on small engines and cars. He was a member of Brownstown Church of Christ.

Other survivors include a son, Kenny Lee (Romy) Perry of Seymour; two daughters, Brenda (Ed) Brumett of Crothersville and Mary (Jerry) Hodge of Scottsburg; a stepson, Sonny J. Nantz of Seymour; a sister, Anna Bell Dart of Crothersville; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild; four stepgrandchildren; and four great-stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Mickey Perry; a grandson, Jason Foster; a great-granddaughter, Amy Young; a stepdaughter, Dellia Fay Nantz; a stepson, Olen Nantz; four brothers; and six sisters.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Adams Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Crothersville with Pastor Michael Hogg officiating. Burial will beat Uniontown Cemetery.

Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. until time of service Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Brownstown Church of Christ or Uniontown Cemetery.
